Becoming a member in the Board of Directors

If you feel you have the ability, drive and direction to lend us a helping hand, you are most welcome to apply for the position to be considered becoming a part of the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities of a member in the Board of Directors:A member of the Board of Directors has the primary responsibility to lead, give direction to the academy. Most positions are voluntary and we will give valuable credit for your ideas and addition to your resume that you are a part of our organization.

A member shall:

  • a) Help direct and guide mentors
  • b) Oversee the daily running of the organization
  • c) Keep in touch with other directors of the board through technology or in person meetings.
  • d) Sanction budgets as needed
  • e) Sanction laws and by laws, make amendments to policy as needed.
  • f) Be honest and offer integrity as part of their individuality.
  • g) Not mislead any member, mentor or child intentionally.
  • h) Attend meetings when required in person, through teleconferencing or video conferencing.
  • i) Be willing to offer their time for fund raisers or other common goals of the organization.
  • j) Be willing to offer their public relations skills for the betterment of the academy.
